#1 Chandler Coffee Shop. Peixoto Coffee
Well, thank you for joining us on us on this journey counting down my five favorite coffee shops in Chandler AZ. One thing you will notice, there are great coffee houses that did not make this list. Many people would expect Sozo or Coffee Rush to be on this list. I if you took ten random people in Chander and asked them about their favorite places, you would very likely have a good amount mention those places. But with so many good coffee houses in Chandler, someone had to get left out.
We started this journey with the only coffee house on the list south of the 202, The Grove Coffee House. Then we went to downtown with Downtown Chandler Cafe and Bakery. At the midpoint of our list, we headed to Talebu Coffee in North Chandler and then we went over to the old-time rustic American Way Cafe. That leaves us with the #1 coffeehouse in Chandler according to this Chandler real estate guy.
Drumroll…….. Your #1 coffee house in Chandler AZ is Peixoto Coffee in Downtown Chandler.
Of all the coffee shops on this list, Peixoto is the one that feels the most like your stereotypical local coffee shop. This is a good thing. You walk in, and the smell of roasting coffee and fresh brew makes you want to pull up a seat and hammer away on a keyboard while doing some work for several hours.
Not only is the atmosphere great, but they also have great coffee. After all, isn’t that important too? Just over two years ago there were several of us who spent a lot of time downtown who would always comment, Downtown Chandler needed a real, traditional, coffee house. It had been several years since it had one and with the complete revitalization of Downtown Chandler, a really good coffee shop was badly needed. Then came locally owned Peixoto Coffee. I was there on opening day, and I knew right away this was going to be an anchor of our new downtown.
One of my favorite things about Peixoto is their seasonal menus. You know it is fall when you walk in and the smell of maple brings a smile to your face.
