Can you believe that the year is 1/2 way over? What are you doing for the 4th of July. Big plans? Family BBQ? Pool Party? Check out some of the 4th of July ideas we think look fun on Pinterest and if you’re looking for places to watch fireworks in Phoenix this fourth of July we’ve got your hook up! Look no further — here is a list, compiled from several sources, of Independence Day fireworks shows in and around Phoenix.
**NOTE – Check with the venue for details. Things change, events get canceled, I may make a mistake {gasp}.
With that out of the way, here’s a list for 2016 of places to watch fireworks in Phoenix (and elsewhere) on July 4th -ish. Enjoy!

- If no date is given, the event is scheduled for the 4th of July.
- “Free” does not always mean free. “Free” usually means admission to the fireworks show is free. Sometimes parking is free, sometimes not. Food and drinks are rarely, if ever free.

Start your day at our community pool, then head down to Heritage Park for a day filled with activities. Mud volleyball tournament, a horseshoe tournament, a corn hole tournament, inflatables, food vendors, a live band and of course Fireworks.

Put on your red, white and blue and join friends and neighbors at Fountain Park on Monday, July 4 to celebrate Independence Day! The celebration will kick off at 6:00pm with music, games, and prizes. DJ Steve Grosse will keep the whole family moving and grooving with great tunes throughout the night. And what July 4 event would be complete without some pyrotechnics? The 4th at the Fountain program will conclude with a majestic fireworks display at 9:00pm over the park’s picturesque lake.
This year, a new event format will be introduced as the entertainment area will be free and open to all event guests. The Fourth at the Fountain program has been designed to be a community wide event open to all. This year attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets to relax and enjoy an evening full of fun throughout the park. Food vendors will also be on hand with Italian ice, frozen lemonade, and other goodies to help you beat the heat.

There will be plenty of family fun for everyone. We will be serving up a classic summer BBQ and topping off the evening with a very special viewing of the Tempe Town Lake Fireworks Spectacular show at a “VIP” seating area in the back of the Zoo!
Adults, ages 13 and up are $45.00 and children, ages 3-12 are $35.00
3rd of July Fireworks and BBQ at Wet-n-Wild & HERO Appreciation Weekend
The firework shows is free with park admission and begins at 9:30p.m. BBQ meal tickets are just $15.99 plus tax and Season Pass holders are $13.99 plus tax.
July 2nd – 4th, FREE admission for active and retired US military and first responders (Police/Fire/EMT). **This is a huge event and traffic and parking can be tough. The City of Tempe recommends that you ride the light rail to the fireworks show.
