Alisanos, Tempe AZ is one of our favorite gated communities in the east valley. Located at the southeast corner of Elliot and Kyrene, Alisanos offers convenience in location, great schools and the quietness of a gated community in Tempe’s 85284 zip code.

Alisanos makes a great first impression with some of their waterfalls at the gates.

Alisanos, Tempe AZ was first started in 1995 and consists of 255 homes that were built from 1995-2000. Alisanos is part of the highly acclaimed Kyrene School District.

The community has a unique feel for Arizona with its mature tree lined streets. Alisanos is close to the 101, I-10, ASU Research Center, Ken McDonald Golf Course and GoDaddy’s new offices in Tempe. And if you are an Arizona Cardinals fan, it is just down the street from their Tempe training facility.

Alisanos has a very large community park which includes a playground, walking paths  and what may be the longest greenbelt area in a subdivision park in Tempe. 

Some of our favorite things about the Alisanos community are:

1. Not only does Alisanos have a huge greenbelt, it backs up to the Kyrene Canal Pathway which with its cross canals leads to over 30 miles of canal pathways.
2. Most of the homes in Alisanos were built by Fulton Homes and just walking through them you can tell the quality.
3. There are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops within a mile of Alisanos including Dos Gringo’s which has some good Mexican food!
