The Carnival of Real Estate is up at The Bloodhound. Greg and company did a typically stellar job selecting the top dogs. For whatever reason, I completely spaced on submitting an entry, clearing the way for others :). Greg and Mary McKnight even get into a Latin exchange in the comments. I knew those two were different..
Over at Sadie’s Take on Delaware Ohio, Toby has hosted the first consumer oriented real estate carnival. It’s a different twist on the CoRE, which is often dominated by real estate for the pros, not the consumers. Personally, I’d like to see one big giant party of a Carnival with categories than the separate carnivals that are developing (CoRE, RE Investing, and now Consumer RE), but that’s just me.
Two carnivals hosted by a Bloodhound and a Boxer. And our entry on Donkeys gets a nod in one. What’s up with the animals?

Thanks for the links – and I agree 100 percent. I'd love to see a "Master Carnival" that would be the best for all people involved. However, the CoRE didn't respond real well to the idea when Josh Dorkin proposed it a few months ago. However, I'd LOVE to kill mine in favor of a master one.
Thanks for submitting!

Toby & Sadie-
I thought the carnival ended up where everyone wanted it after Joshua's post? I added 3 categories to the carnival submissions so that submitters can categorize their posts (I'd say about 75% do so now).
Several people have mentioned that one possibility is to have the carnival host highlight the best article in each category (consumer focused, investing, and re pros). Would implementing that idea help?
Regardless — it is up to the host of each week to set the rules for that week. My suggestion is to pitch the idea to one of the next couple hosts and encourage them to spend a lot of time writing a super carnival on their turn — a great example of how it could be done right would be the best way to champion the idea.
If you'd like to discuss, you can e-mail me at drewm at z. Thanks.
