Who doesn’t love a good parade with fancy costumes and elaborate floats? Growing up I always wanted to go to a Thanksgiving Day Parade (or Mardi Gras), but I had to settle for plopping down in front of the TV to watch instead.
Now I get my chance! Fountain Hills is home to the ONLY Thanksgiving Day Parade in the State of Arizona. The Annual Fountain Hills Thanksgiving Day Parade, also known as the Parada de Los Cerros, or Parade of the Hills, features floats, horses, marching bands, and a Grand Marshall. They throw candy to the kids from the floats and Santa has been known to make an appearance as well.
The parade will be held on Thanksgiving morning right after the Annual Turkey Trot 5k Run and 1 mile Fitness Walk at the corners of Saquaro and El Lago Blvds at 9am.
