The real estate blogiverse is all abuzz with the recent posting by Inman News of the "25 Most Influential Real Estate Bloggers: 2007".
Posting a "top anything" list is never an easy task. Overall I think Inman did an admirable job selecting 25 blogs out of hundreds (thousands?). I agree with most of their selections and only a couple made me say, "Huh?".
Building such a list is, for the most part, incredibly subjective. Everyone has an opinion and no "Top 25" list will please the masses.
I am proud to call many of the Inman selections my friend. I read them all regularly (well, there is one exception) and have conversed on-line, over the phone and/or in person with the majority. Several read and comment right here on our little piece of the re.net. They are great bloggers, and even better people.
I've pondered over the last 24 hours or so whether or not to post my selections for #26 – 50. I have 242 blogs in my feed reader, 161 of which are loosely categorized as "real estate blogs". And yes, I read them all every day. Sure I skim some posts, but the majority are read in their entirety. (Note to several: if you set your feeds to display full posts and not snippets or titles only, I for one would read your entire post more often…) There is a lot of really good stuff out there.
Please don't be offended if I left you off this list. I certainly don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I picked these 25 for a multitude of reasons — they are well written, have great subject material, and they inspire me to be a better blogger. I could *easily* have put all 161 on the list. But let's face it — no one would read through all of them so there wouldn't be much point. Rest assured that if you're in my feed reader, you've got at least one fan out there (and quite likely, many more).
If you're interested, you can view my entire feed reader list on my public Bloglines account. (And if you are not in my reader, let me know!)
