A California mother, Monet Parham, is suing McDonalds hoping to get the fast food giant to remove the toys from Happy Meals.
Apparently Ms. Parham can’t tell her six year old “No” so she wants the courts to step in and parent for her.
She says in the ABC News report, “I can tell them ‘No’ all day long, but then they see commercials that convince them you’ve really got to have this.”
OKfine. Turn off the damn TV then.
ABC asks, “Just who is responsible for what kids eat?”
Uh, the PARENTS???
“I object to the fact that McDonald’s is getting into my kids’ heads without my permission and actually changing what my kids want to eat,” Parham said.
Well I object to the fact that a grown adult can’t control a six year old. Perhaps Parham, a health educator, needs to get a grip on her responsibility as a parent.
This is quite possibly the most ridiculous lawsuit I’ve ever heard of. It would be interesting to see how this six year old, who apparently can get whatever she wants whenever she wants it, acts when she’s a teenager”¦
