The first thing you need to do when checking out golf course homes is look at the back yard and where it is in relation to the tee box and the green. Are you somewhere that the ball is going to come flying in to or are you somewhere a little more safe.
If you are are somewhere that you think you may be in the line of direction of golf balls take a look at trees and see if any of them are strategically placed in the way of where any slice or hooks would be coming from. Almost any house on a golf course is in some danger of being hit by golf balls, but some will be at a much higher risk than others.
If you do decide to get a property by a golf course you’ll be able to play golf as much as your spare time allows. For some, that is a huge pro that will outweigh a few cons no problem. You’ll get better at it too, as you’ll get more practice in than you ever have. Make sure your cart has high quality golf cart batteries, as it will be seeing plenty of use and issues with it will probably cut your game short.
