Just for fun, and as a way to explore the very cool Posterous publishing platform, I decided to set up a mobile photo blog at PhxPics.com.
It’ll be pretty thrilling stuff folks. PhxPics will be nothing but photos taken with my mobile phone. Most photos will, naturally, be of people, places and things in and about Phoenix. For this week however, you’ll see stuff from San Francisco and the Real Estate Bar Camp and Inman Real Estate Connect Conference. (We will however, abide by the no photos after 10:00pm policy).
Posterous makes it ridiculously simple to feed photos (and text. And video.) to a WordPress blog (and elsewhere). Just snap a photo on the phone and email it to Posterous. It’s really a pretty freaking amazing publishing tool.
PhxPics.com ”“ just what I need, another place to hang out on the web. . .
Ahahahahahaha.I like it.Especially the foodporn…. (http://phxpics.com/foodporn/)Keep up the good work.
LOL…I'll be watching for the photos and checking out the new tool.
Keep making those pictures!
Jay-Interesting idea. Trying to join you, but having some issues getting WordPress.com and Posterous to work together. I may have to ask you to talk me through it!

Hi Jay. I'm switching over my RSS reader and came across this post that I had saved to think about doing someday when I had time. Like that every happens!
I'm just curious what you think is the best use of this mobile photo blog now that you've been doing it for a few months. I don't really need another distraction, and already post most of my pictures to flick. At least the good ones. But, I was thinking this might be a good alternative to posting pictures to twitter instead of going through twitpic. What do you think?
I just use it for fun Karen. I post only pics take with my phone, and there is no rhyme or reason to what I take a picture of.
I think, for a business application, is I were to focus on "Phoenix lifestyle" pics then I could probably take photos and point them back to a blog post.
But that would take thought and planning, and I just haven't gotten around to it yet…
