I enjoy your site, I am trying to find info out about a broker that took me to the cleaners and im not sure where to go yet. I have a broker who I trusted , he listed my business and found a person to buy it . problem is I didn’t know the broker and buyer knew each other for many years and when they made numerous changes to the sale like a 300k carry back, and in the beginning a check for 100k in earnest money but the bank had no money in it and the broker kept the check in his pocket so when they didn’t close at the right time and took 5 more months to finally go to close it was stressfull. the broker said if I didn’t close because of the carry back he ok d he would charge me 5k per month from the day he listed the business. then after I did close he sent his friend who bought it a note with an attorney name on it and said sue him and this was the first week after close. he charged me 75k for the sale, even thou he was actually working for his friend and not me, then made it where his friend didn’t pay me a dime of the money they owed me , and sued me for now they think the business is worth less than they thought. they did there own investigation as to equipment and tools and all the aspects of it now to get out of paying they think sue. the broker on paper and e mails show he did wrong but he has no e and o insurance so where or how do you collect from a guy that has payments on everything and owns nothing. that’s why I found your site looking up the recovery fund which I see has no money in it , so where do I go when I have been taken advantage of by a broker and a buyer ? and lawyers cost 415 dollars an hour and im sure the people who started this are trying to run me out of money so I cant fight them , this is the worst state I have ever seen with brokers who just think of the almighty dollar and nothing else. if you have any ideas as to what recourse a consumer has when this is done to them from a broker who owns the broker business please let me know. thank you for the site to inform us of what is going on in the real world. I have been fighting with my lawyers and there lawyers for 5 months now and these people shown on paper planned this and have made my life rough since. they even did this to another business before mine and it was the same broker and buyer, so I guess they are making a living doing this to the public. thank you again !
