One of the first golf courses I played after moving to the Valley of the Sun was Longbow. Besides being one of the nicest courses in the East Valley area of Phoenix, it has an interesting back story. It originally opened in 1997 and was owned by Boeing. The name comes from the Apache Longbow attack helicopter built by Boeing right across the street from the course. Located in North East Mesa, Las Sendas Golf Club is desert golf at it's finest. If you want sprawling fairways and tall trees, look elsewhere. If you want a course that demands shot-making, precise putting and has breath taking valley views, try Las Sendas Golf Course. The battle begins on the very first hole.
