At Thompson’s Realty our tag line is “The Power Of Technology With A Personal Touch.”
I recently went to a real estate conference in San Francisco and a few of us got into a discussion on what our brand means.
It got me thinking, in one word what does your brand mean to clients and in one word what does your brand mean to agents?
Customer Service.
Technology, personal touch, it all comes down to one thing, making the customer service experience more enjoyable for our clients.
We preach to our agents that there is one thing we care about, that is they provide the absolute best customer service possible for their clients.
So how do we hold ourselves accountable? We ask our clients to rate us.
Thompson’s Realty has set up a separate website called “Rate Our Agents.” We encourage clients to review us on public sites so we know our agents are living up to the high standards that our founders Jay and Francy Thompson set.
What happens when our agents do not consistently meet the high expectations we set? We encourage them to go hang their license somewhere else.
We are only looking for professional agents who are looking to help clients, not just chase a paycheck.
Collaboration.
Collaboration is the backbone to make our agents better and to grow their business.
We encourage our agents to share, ask questions and to collaborate to make the agents as well as the brokerage better.
Somedays the conversations may be about how to convert a lead, or what is an agent doing for marketing. Somedays it may be about the market and where we think it is headed or about a listing that is coming up that may be a perfect match for another agent who is having a hard time landing a home for their first-time homebuyer.
Almost three years ago Jay and Dean Ouellette were two of the founding members of Real Estate Tech Tank (RETT). The whole idea behind RETT was for agents to come together, talk about what is working and what is not working, and to share ideas to help them become better agents and grow their business.
That philosophy lives on at Thompson’s Realty.
Why do I share this?
I have been talking to many agents over the last few weeks about joining Thompson’s Realty. Before I sit down and talk to anyone I want them to know what they are getting themselves into when they join our brokerage.
As agents join the team you can be assured they have heard this time and time again. We are not looking for agents to who are coming to just hang their license. We are looking for agents who are committed to making their business a better expedience for the customer.
Thompson’s Realty is committed to always pushing the envelope with innovation and providing marketing and support for our agents to help grow their business. But we will not do this at the expense of customer service or collaboration.
