The outstanding real estate “social network” ActiveRain has just held it’s own version of a Blog Carnival.
For those that don’t know of ActiveRain, it’s a social network for real estate professionals. You can build a profile (with one-way links to your website and/or blog!), participate in forums, contact other network members and they have a great blogging platform that is very active. The cost is right — free. It’s a wonderful place to learn and make business and personal contacts.

The winning post in the “Industry News” section came from Toby Boyce who wrote a great piece titled, “Calling a Scam a Scam: But is it Really?” Toby’s an excellent writer and you’d be well advised to check out the rest of his AR blog.
For a peak at the other entries, that ranged from local happenings to “green” homes to bubble popping and a super piece on independent brokerages, go here. We even had Craig Newmark, founder of CraigsList leave a comment on an entry!
Winners in other Carnival categories were:
ActiveRain is a serious blog platform. Yes, a lot of blog newbies are cutting their teeth there (and some of them are GREAT), but there are also some *outstanding* bloggers on AR, including multiple Carnival of Real Estate winners and finalists. It’s well worth a visit. Just beware of the ActiveRain Addiction!!
