I’ll freely admit that I am now fully assimilated into using the StudioPress Genesis framework for this site. And a (highly customized) AgentPress child theme.
Why?
Because it just works. And the team behind StudioPress and Genesis (and all their child themes) is brilliant. And the user community is outstanding.
Works + brilliant + community = happy customer

Why are you pimping products?
Long time readers know I’m not a product pimper. Sure, I have some affiliate ads in the sidebar over to your right and at the bottom of posts, but I only put up affiliate links for products I use. And yes, the links above are affiliate links, so I get a cut of what you spend.
I’m posting this specifically for two reasons:
1) It’s a great deal on great products and it’s only available for a very short time. Let’s face it, It would suck to pay full price on Tuesday”¦
2) I’ll donate all affiliate earnings during this sale to Clint Miller, my friend that is in a hell of a fight with advanced metastatic testicular cancer.
So before someone gets all twisted out of shape and accuses me of selling out, take a deep breath and relax. This is a great deal on some terrific products, and Clint needs some help. It’s just that simple.
DON’T FORGET TO USE THE CODE “THANKS” WHEN YOU CHECK OUT!
Enjoy the long Thanksgiving weekend, and be safe!
Have a developer planning a new site right now, probably going Genesis/AgentPress. I will send him this in case he hasn’t bought it yet. Thanks for the tip (and by the way, the new format is beautiful–blog posts always on home page!).
yes I agree with you….
Hey, Jay! How does this service compare to Headway? I’ve been looking for something like this for a while, and I very much trust your opinions….
Really tough to say Rich. Comparing themes and frameworks is sort of like comparing cars… Ford, or Chevy? Depends on who you ask. *Personally*, I’ve never been enamored with Headway, but I may not have given it a fair shake. I’ve seen very nice designs done with Headway, and Genesis / StudioPress themes…
That wasn’t very helpful, was it.
absolutely worthless! I want my money back!
Refund check is in the mail… 😉
I couldn’t agree more. As a long time Revolution / Studiopress guy I can say their support forum is by far 5 Stars…. Brian Gardner and his team produce some great looking themes.
In response to Rich Jacobson I know Jeff Turner really likes Headway. Rich should ask Jeff.
I’m new to the building my own website thing but am looking to get away from my existing “canned” pay by the month website. I’m looking to build it on WordPress. Can anyone tell me if I need both the products Genesiss/Studio Press and Premise? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Robin –
Genesis is a framework. You will need a child theme to run on it (those are the themes in StudioPress).
Premise is a separate product that helps build landing pages. It’s not necessary at all for running a WordPress site (though is very handy if you are into using landing pages — something I’m just beginning to experiment with).
Thanks Jay! I appreciate you taking the time to respond!
Thanks Jay
Guess I had good timing as I was getting ready to get a theme when I stopped by your site last night. With the discount I just got the whole package. Also signed up for Diverse solutions idx off your site but you actually had to cal them – I said I came to them thru your site – hopefully they will credit you.
Have a great thanksgiving
Rick
This looks lie a good deal. As someone who is also ready to take the leap into doing things myself webwise, I’ll probably also take advantage of this offer. And good luck to Clint.
Even i’m planing to buy , it’s nice.
A good site attracts the user and good site can only be developed if nice theme is applied, thanks for sharing this post……
I am planning to purchase the Agentpress theme from Studiopress and have the IDX plugin from Diverse Solutions installed. Can anyone refer a designer/developer that can work with this theme and has reasonable pricing?
Chris
