So I boot up the laptop this morning and startup Firefox. If proceeds to start opening windows (not tabs mind you, entire new instances of Firefox) like mad. It’s up to something like 83 different FF windows open when I say, “Huh, I better turn this thing off.” Doing that required taking out the battery.
So I restart and start Firefox again. It loads fine, but all my extensions, tool bars and themes are all off. Everything is at default. None of my saved passwords work either. Interesting. Took this as a sign to finally download FireFox 2.0 since apparently something was whacked in my 1.5.whatever version.
Then I open my email, and see a blog comment about my Carnival of ActiveRain post returning a 404 error. So I start the blog and sure enough, that post is gone. So is another one from earlier in the week.
A quick trip to the WordPress admin panel shows me both of these posts are marked “private”. I didn’t even know you could make a blog post private….
PCs can do some weird stuff sometimes…. Now I’m off to Starbucks to see what other wonders are waiting for me today.
That sounds like a multitude of things. My best guess is that your memory on your laptop might be faulty… I hope it's not.
